The 21st Century Alliance is an effort by the research library community to build a strong and lasting partnership with key academic professional societies to better conceive and construct the next generation of library services, practices, and programs in support of a swiftly evolving academic environment.

The four immediate goals pursued are:

Library Profession Providing Skills and Expertise
